Warming Up to Malaysia
The Peak recently teamed up with HE Adi Litia Samanunu, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps of Malaysia and
Ambassador of Fiji, to host a special get-together for newly arrived expatriates as part of its Welcome to Malaysia
dinner series. Held at the Grand Salon of the Al-Nafourah restaurant at Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur, the evening
began with a colourful dance performance courtesy of Kuala Lumpur City Hall, followed by a delicious Malaysian
dinner prepared by Executive Sous Chef Zubir Mohd Zain. Tourism Malaysia also took the opportunity to present
vignettes of fascinating Malaysia, followed by several other graceful dances, all of which represented Malaysia’s
melting pot of cultures. To finish, guests were treated to digestifs in the form of fine cognac and single malt
whiskies as well as Davidoff cigars, bringing the night to a convivial and heartwarming close.
