Parisian jeweller Chaumet kicked off an exhibition entitled The Art of Jewellery Since 1780 with a cocktail party on June 2 at the ifc mall Oval Atrium. The jewellery house showcased a range of beautifully creations, as well as historic highlights from the house. Guests were whisked away on a virtual journey that explored the romantic fascinating story behind the renowned French jeweller.


Red, White and Glee

Consul-General Antonello De Riu celebrated Italian National Day with friends on June 1 in Central Plaza. The Hong Kong Italian community, along with local movers and shakers, shared an evening of mingling and culinary delights. The consul-general also took the occasion to present the Order of the Star of Italy to James Suckling, Fabio Brassesco and Claudio de Bedin in recognition of their work towards promoting Italian culture in Hong Kong.


Record Lots

A bevy of well-heeled art, watch and high jewellery aficionados flocked to the Mandarin Oriental for Phillips’ spring sales preview on May 26. Despite the general contraction of the auction market in 2016, the three-day sale was a success, generating HK$312 million. Record-breaking highlights include works by Christina Ay Tjoe, KAWS, Peter Doig and Sean Scully.


High Five

Noblesse Lifestyle Group celebrated its 5th anniversary with a party in Central’s Bar De Luxe. The group’s founder Brand Chau was on hand to mark the milestone with friends on June 22. Guests not only got to sample handcrafted Japanese cocktail at the bar, but where also invited to explore a range of luxury bedding by Dauny Switzerland.
