Giddy Up

The Longines Masters finished in Hong Kong for the third and final leg of the prestigious show jumping series from February 10 to 12 at Asia World-Expo. At this three-day event, guests were offered a chance to watch show jumping by the world’s best riders and to participate at various activities. A VIP dinner prepared by Belgian celebrity chef Yves Mattagne took place on Friday at the Masters Club, while a concert by Belgian artist Alice on the Roof happened on Saturday.

Glittering Night

Chopard held a star-studded party on January 21 at the famous Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris to unveil the latest Garden of Kalahari collection. A number of Hollywood stars and VIPs graced the event, including Pansy Ho and Yvette Yung from Hong Kong. After a movie was shown, Welsh singer Dame Shirley Bassey surprised the audience with a performance of her famous hit, Diamonds Are Forever.

Roaring Guardians

The Asia Society Hong Kong Centre hosted an opening ceremony on January 19 to kick-off the “Roaring Guardians: The Mari-Cha Lion with Asian Traditional and Contemporary Art” exhibition. The show highlighted the ‘Mari-Cha Lion’, a rare mid-11th to mid-12th century south Italian bronze sculpture bearing Arabic decorations. The exhibition explored the significance of lion, as well as commemorated Asia Society’s fifth anniversary.
