A Rare Taste Of The Exceptional

EVENT: Highland Park Single Malt Scotch Whisky Appreciation
VENUE: Landmark Mandarin Oriental Hotel

Novices became converts and connoisseurs went away convinced once again, following a rare occasion at which a select group experienced the colour, the aroma and the flavours of a sprit identified as the world’s best – Highland Park Single Malt Scotch Whisky. It was rated as the best spirit by F. Pacult in the Spirit Journal in 2009 in a ranking of the top 110 in the world. Over the past decade, the whisky has earned many more accolades and awards.

The guests who gathered for the evening sipped glasses of 12 years, 18 years, 25 years and the finest of them all, the copper and amber coloured 30-year-old whisky, admired for its complex, smoky finish. Specially-made canapés made the experience more wholesome, in a convivial ambience. The tasting group, all 54 of them, was ably guided by wine and spirit professional Stephen Mack.

The appreciation segment was as captivating as the whisky.
