Korean electronics manufacturer LG has put together a new line in home appliances, the Home Appliance Health Plus Collection, which combines eco-friendly technology and healthy living in products to fill and service the home.

The collection includes everything, from an energy-efficient and almost silent washing machine to an AC air-purifier unit with an Anti Virus Filter system. Kitchen appliances have also had a facelift.

The refrigerator uses a three-way ventilation system which maintains an even temperature inside, but also circulates antioxidants extracted from green tea leaves, known as catechin, that help prevent bacteria growth and food from spoiling.

Built into the stainless steel 30-litre microwave oven is a two-fan system to circulate and distribute heat more efficiently and effectively. It also has a 'Steamchef' function to trap moisture and steam raw foods and also a 101 auto cook menu.

Appliances like these can just make life that little bit healthier, greener and easier.

The perfect shoe for every event is what women want.

With more than a dozen different styles in a variety of materials, shapes, colours and heel heights, the Choo 24:7 collection from Malaysian designer Jimmy Choo is more than enough to fill the wardrobe.

Beginning with casual and comfortable footwear, there is a wide range of flats with pointed or rounded toes or strappy sandals.

To complete that smart, sophisticated look there is a selection of heels in modest heights in shades of beige, black or bright red.

For that special event, when it’s time to make a statement, there are plenty of 12-centimetre high heels and platforms and Roman-style sandals to choose from in solid bold colours, glittering gold or silver or leopard print in retro purple.

main-image-hotseat.jpg Big Deal

I’m an uber-competitive person: Pioneering an Internet startup here is not easy, but the constant challenge and stress is very appealing to me.

I was inspired by a forum-based deals website that I would visit while living in the US. I checked it several times a day just so I would be the first to know about the hottest deals.

We launched AdaDiskon.com in June last year. We were lucky to have some big retail players – Charles & Keith, Senayan City, ACE Hardware and more – support us from the beginning.

Our partners can log in to the website directly to control their company profile and update promotional information. The best information, though, usually comes from our shopaholic readers.

I want AdaDiskon.com to be among the top 10 websites here within five years, and to be the first website people think about when they look for information about deals. Our hope is simply to be one of the success stories among Indonesian Internet startups – to inspire others, which will in turn will develop and evolve our industry.
