I was brought up in Jakarta but now travel quite frequently between New York, Asia and Bali.

My interest in fashion design started quite early. My mum would take me out to attend social occasions frequently when I was a child. At parties I would admire the effort some women put into dressing up – looking quite stunning – while others seemed to be in need of help.

Since then, I got hooked on just what it is that can make a woman look her best. I started making my own dresses in junior high school where close friends admired my work and started placing orders. 

I knew then that this was what I wanted to do in life and that I needed to get a formal education and knowledge. Upon graduation, I could not wait to be my own boss and start working in the fashion industry.

As they come and go, my designs tend not to follow trends but create them. As fashion is the art of dressing, there's a playful side to a formal piece and, conversely, a formal touch to a casual piece. I always make sure that women look sensual, not slutty, with a sensuality that reflects their personality.

Looking ahead, I’m hoping that Stella Rissa, my first, custom-made label, will continue to surprise audiences with its unpredictable, thematic collections.  Stella.R,  my second, ready-to-wear brand, will be found in every independent woman's wardrobe along with her classic and high-end designer collections.

There is a range of clutches and oversized carry-all handbags in all shapes and sizes. The Oh la la! collection is a burst of colour to breathe new life into any winter wardrobe, with pastel and vibrant colours, from bright pinks to retro ocean blue.

Inspired by the harbor-side lifestyle of the French Riveria, each bag is printed with an intertwining rope pattern.
