Italian whims
"It's about being capricious in life, especially with good food,
that’s why we call our restaurant Capricci," says kitchen head Massimo
Aquaro. With such a lively moniker, you’d expect swathes of
unconventionality in the menu, but the dishes are traditional — with a
touch of creativity. Take for example, the Seafood Tagliatelle, served
with the uncommon complementing sauce of carbonara. The dish turned out
to be a hearty, delectable meal. The Salmon Fillet drenched in a cognac
sauce with leek and peppers was a hit as well, showing off a
well-balanced sauce that did not overpower the freshness of the fish.

Shaken, and plucked
Orgo is the kind of bar that would coax a smile from James Bond.
Located on the breezy rooftop terrace of the Esplanade, the bar shakes
up a line of original, inventive martinis, such as the Melon and Honey
Martini and the Roasted Papaya Martini. Led by renowned Japanese
mixologist Tomoyuki Kitazoe, the bar is an advocate of using only the
freshest ingredients for their drinks. Peek around the bar and you’ll
see pots of basil, lemongrass, mint and rosemary — grown for the
bartenders’ tipple concoctions. For reservations, call 97336911
