Just like getting a haircut from an old world hair saloon, these timepieces are too classy to go out of style.

From fuel-sipping hybrids to fire-breathing exotic cars, here are rides for every occasion.

Exotic Creature
With its sharp angles and edgy design, the Lamborghini LP560-4 Spyder looks as loud as it sounds. It’s just as apt for taking you to the gala or bombing down the back roads over weekends.

Epitome of Luxury
With a stately presence and the Chrome grill and Spirit of Ecstacy mascot, there is none other quite like the Rolls-Royce Phantom.

City Prowler
The supercharged Jaguar XKR’s sleek body has been updated with an enhanced purposeful body kit, and a grunting 5-litre engine. The interior also receives an update and tech goodies that incorporate Jaguar’s new, snazzy gear selector that pops up when the engine is started.

Fresh Face

The all-new Mercedes-Benz E-Class looks crisp and younger with edgier lines and more distinct curves. It also feels roomier inside. The E-Class also comes as a coupe — a new variant for this series.

Green Ute
This hybrid has a 3.5-litre powerplant and an electric motor that works in combination to produce the power and performance of a 4.5-litre engine. It does the century sprint in 7.8 seconds, yet it only produces the same amount of carbon as a small compact car.

The Fast Getaway

If you need something discreet to make that quick escape from a party or to get to the office in a rush after a wild night, the Audi RS6 sedan will get you (and four others) there in a jiffy. With a 5-litre V10 engine under its bonnet, this saloon gets you from naught to hundred in 4.5 seconds.

Things are starting to look bright — this season’s styles feature accents of dazzling hue to lighten up fall’s traditionally heavier fabrics.

Power up Business, with added zest
There’s an air of energy about this season’s business menswear, in line with the current economic mood — cautious optimism combined with readiness for action. You’ll see this in the broader, stronger shoulders, fitted torsos, well-draped (definitively un-skinny) trousers. Behold the return of the double-breasted jacket, a compact, flattering cut that projects confidence on most figures.

TIME TO SHINE
Evening glamour
Luxuriate in texture as eveningwear takes a turn for the sensuous. Unlike last season’s emphasis on detailing and complex interplay of fabric, construction and trimmings to set the look, this fall we’re seeing clean lines that skim the figure and encourage the eye to linger. Rich colours such as plum and dark green show off best in the preferred material, gorgeously tactile velvet, with its unmistakeable sheen of luxury. Cashmere and suede get their turn in the spotlight as well, with past seasons narrow lapels giving way to a more generous, modern look.

STYLE CHECK
Weekend separates
If business wear is making a move towards the decades of recent past, casual wear is taking a hike out into the country. It’s less retro, and more vintage. Colours — while still maintaining the traditional fall palette of faded browns and warm greys — occasionally burst out in punches of fuchsia, bright red and violet. A wider look across labels reveals that checks are still in, but in bolder hues, with larger patterns.
