EVENT: GRANDEUR OF WINE GALA DINNER FEATURING THE CUISINE OF BRUNO MENARD

Invited guests joined members of the Grand Jury Europeen for a top-notch dinner featuring the cuisine of three-Michelin-starred chef Bruno Menard, paired with equally impressive wines.

The evening provided diners with great food and wine, plus an unforgettable opportunity to mingle with Europe’s most prestigious wine tasting panel.


Heart-Filled Day

EVENT: GOLF WITH A HEART - IN SUPPORT OF PRESIDENT’S CHALLENGE 2010
LOCATION: ORCHID COUNTRY CLUB

Golf With A Heart was organised and funded by Singapore Pools to benefi t the President’s Challenge (PC) 2010. The charity golf tournament, held at Orchid Country Club, was followed by a dinner reception in the evening, culminating in the presentation of a $222,000 donation cheque to Mr Niam Chiang Meng, PC 2010 Chairman.

To underscore the charity element of this event, the top five golfers were determined based on a combination of the usual Double Peoria Stableford format and points converted from “hearts” earned by golfers on the green.

Golfers were encouraged to earn funds for PC 2010 by scoring “hearts” at the 18 holes. Corporate sponsors donated $88 for every “heart” earned by the golfers at the respective holes. In addition, the Tote Board also donated $50 and $100 respectively for every par and birdie or better achieved by the golfers.

Leaders from government, business, professional bodies and non-government organisations attended the event. The guest of honour was Senior Minister Mr Goh Chok Tong, and the Special Guest was Minister for Finance, Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam.

 

Timed To Perfection

EVENT: THE PEAK PREMIER DINNER WITH UOB PRIVILEGE BANKING AND ROGER DUBUIS
LOCATION: ROGER DUBUIS BOUTIQUE, GRAND HYATT

A selected few were treated to an evening of elegance at the recent Peak Premier Dinner, co-hosted by UOB Privilege Banking. They were the fi rst in Asia to preview the latest Roger Dubuis collection presented at the recent SIHH 2010 (Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie). The guests witnessed a masterful combination of ancestral watch-making savoir-faire and a boldly modern style in the sophisticated collections — Excalibur, Kingsquare and Easydiver.

Invitees were impressed by the ingenious canapes and four-course Western dinner, specially created by executive chef Earn of Purple Sage. There was also free fl ow of champagne and wines, specially paired by Hermitage for the evening.

During the course of the dinner, guests were invited to fi ll up a Roger Dubuis quiz card and three lucky winners walked away with limited edition Roger Dubuis gifts.
