It’s not every day that you can play a round of golf at one of Singapore’s best courses with a ranked Asian Tour-playing professional. But 30 top executives from 10 companies in Singapore had the exclusive opportunity to do just that at the Golf Digest Singapore Corporate-Pro Day 2010.

The unique event, the fi rst-ever organised in Singapore, gave companies the chance to purchase a fl ight for three golfers, who were teamed up with one Asian Tour professional in a competition on the renowned Serapong Course.

Golf Digest Singapore collaborated with Asian Tour to select a stellar list of playing professionals to participate in this inaugural event. They included Unho Park, Angelo Que, Marcus Both, Ben Leong, Airil Ibrahim, Marcus Both, Guido Van Der Valk, Chris Rodgers, Danny Chia, Iain Steel, Gavin Flint, and Singapore’s top two golfers Lam Chih Bing and Mardan Mamat.

Participants also attended an individualised clinic with their assigned pros who offered tips and pointers on how to improve their game. The team comprising Asian Tour-winner Angelo Que from the Philippines, and the Parkway Health team captained by CEO Michael Tan took top honours at the end of the day.

EVENT: ERNST & YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR 2010 AWARDS LAUNCH COCKTAIL
LOCATION: ERNST & YOUNG OFFICE, ONE RAFFLES QUAY, NORTH TOWER LEVEL 18

Guests including sponsors, supporters and Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Singapore academy members gathered to celebrate the launch of the ninth annual Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2010 awards Singapore.

The occasion also saw guests raising a toast to Arnaud Vaissie, chief executive of International SOS and Entrepreneur Of The Year 2009 Singapore, who will represent Singapore at the upcoming Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur Of The Year 2010 award in Monte Carlo, Monaco this June.

Impressions by Shangri-la Hotel Singapore specially created an appetising spread of canapes and hot and cold selections, complete with fine wines and champagne. It was a memorable evening for all attendees.

EVENT: THE PEAK AMBASSADOR DINNER WITH THE AMBASSADOR OF SPAIN
LOCATION: SPANISH AMBASSADOR’S RESIDENCE

The Peak and HE Antonio Sanchez Jara, Ambassador of Spain hosted an intimate dinner at his colonial residence.

Warmly greeted by the amicable hosts, guests were ushered to the living room for pre dinner cocktails.

Attended by guests of The Peak and the Spanish Ambassador, invitees enjoyed canapes and a delectable five-course menu, thoughtfully paired with Spanish wines and champagnes. The fine dining cuisine was specially prepared by sous chef Anthony Tan of Fairmont Singapore and Swissotel The Stamford.
